Dr Salzstein performed bladder surgery on my mother recently, and did a wonderful job. He has always treated my mother kindly and takes the time necessary to explain complex procedures. We'll definitely continue to see him.

Dr. Saltzstein is very unfriendly and so some of his staff. It was not one time experience, I used him ate least 4-5 times to make sure he was not having a bad day of personal issues. I highly recommend finding another doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Saltzstein by an acquaintance of my wife's. It seems that my annual physical with my internal medicine specialist disclosed some abnormalities which required a urologist's attention. Dr. Saltzstein is calming, caring, and cordial. Some physicians are all about performing surgery. This surgeon took the time to exhaust every alternative with me before I ended up having a procedure to correct my issues. I had my surgery just three weeks ago and I can say that I feel blessed that Dr. Saltzstein handled my case. He told me exactly what to expect, what discomfort I would have post-op, and how long it would take for recovery / resumption of normal activities. I am absolutely ecstatic about the improvement in my condition. Dr. Saltzstein and his nursing staff did a great job of calming this old guy.

Best urologist!!! I have recurrent kidney stones so I've had to deal with many urologists. There are some awful ones out there!! When I met Dr Saltzstein he was caring, compassionate and determined to get me feeling better. I have been his patient for 4yrs now and he's absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great urologist.

I was treated by Dr. Saltzstein in connection to a kidney stone condition which caused me to be hospitalized after a week of significant discomfort. Once the ER doctor diagnosed the stone (with the help of a CT scan), Dr. Saltzstein was called in as the Urology specialist to perform the surgery. When he introduced himself in the ER, he was polite and businesslike. As he talked, my first impression was that I could readily tell he was very knowledgeable and clearly an expert in his specialtly. He asked me to describe my symptoms and I gave him a chronology of my situation. About half-way through my description, he interrupted me and told me what he was going to do regarding treatment. My initial reaction was that I thought he had been rude as to cut short my description, but the more I listened to him, it became apparent that I had given him all the information he needed to formulate a treatment plan, and it was his plan to get the stone removed as soon as possible. I found that his… attitude and bedside manner, while some might consider it to be "abrupt", was actually proactive and action-oriented. He initially saw me in the hospital ER at about 6 pm, and I saw him again the following morning at 7:45 am as I was being prepped for surgery. Again, he was polite but businesslike, and on this occasion he gave me a full description of what was going to happen regarding the surgical procedure and what I could expect post-surgery (I had a stent inserted as well). He was right on the money, so to speak. The surgery went off flawlessly, and I was out of recovery in about two hrs--and discharged from the hospital about 2 pm that same day. I saw him 5 days after the surgery to remove the stent in his office for a follow-up, and he went over the surgical results in his no-nonsense manner and told me I was doing fine, he could see no possible complications, and I was "good to go". I was out of the office 10 minutes later. If you are the kind of patient that needs a doctor with a more sociable and empathetic disposition, he may not be your "most liked" doctor on Facebook. But if you want a Urology surgeon that is a technical expert who knows his business and takes care of you in a straightforward manner, this is your guy. I'm very glad I had him. When I pay my medical bills, his bill is going to be the first one to be paid.
