Dr. Daniel Wayne Sawyer, MD

This Dr. Has wonderful bedside manner, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Educated and intelligent, wants to get the root of the issue. Any other claim is simply, false.

"Dr. Sawyer has been my medical practitioner since 1988. He literally saved my life as my body was being ravaged by some serious bugs. He is an excellent infectious disease specialist. Dr. Sawyer has always been very positive and upbeat. He’s been there for me through the good, the bad and the ugly. He listens to my concerns and has a great bedside manner. Dr. Sawyer makes himself available by publicly posting his cellphone number. Also he has been flexible about financial matters that have helped me with my budgetary affairs. Let’s not forget his staff. You can tell that the receptionist and the nurses really enjoy working together because they are certainly a happy bunch, not cold and distant. So yes, I definitely recommend that you give Dr. Sawyer a call."

I have been a patient of Dr Sawyer for approx. 30 years. He is professional and always takes the time to listen to me and address my issues. His office manager and nurses are also professional, very easy to talk to and help make me feel comfortable. I could not ask for more.

Would not recommend this doctor. He likes to order expensive test, does not follow up with diagnosis. This doctor has terrible bed side manner, the worst I've ever seen. Dr. Sawyer will only discuss one health problem each visit.If you have more that one problem that visit he will ask that you make another appointment (hard to believe I know) ! Don't expect your questions or concerns to be addressed. You will leave the office knowing just as little as you knew before you walked in.

I was totally discouraged by this doctors actions during my appointment. He failed to really listen to my symptoms and later quoted wrong what I had previously just said to him while explaining my symptoms. He seemed irritated that I had read up on my type of symptoms and wanted to try to blame my illness/symptoms on everything from menopause (which I had been over these symptoms for over 6 years) to sleep apnea(which I had no symptoms of having) and alleged no snoring. His total attitude during my visit was as though he was irritated that I was asking questions.

I have never met a more imperious and dismissive doctor. He spent more time touting his education (30 years ago, so really, who cares at this point?!) and giving an "oral dissertation" on the genesis of a medical condition than on any attempt at connecting with the patient to accurately diagnose the problem. I'd go without medical treatment before going back to Sawyer. I also believe I was totally mislead by his staff, who assured me that Sawyer was the right fit for what I was looking for - they couldn't have been more wrong.

Really knows his stuff. He was able to quickly cut to the core issues in my medical history, and got me on meds that actually fixed the problem. I had wasted a lot of time on people who thought they knew what was going on. Highly recommended.
