I was sick with what turned out to be pyloric stenosis and gasteoperisis. Thank God, I didn’t just believe all the serious symptoms I had were in my head. I got in for a second opinion with another specialist who quickly began running tests, did a procedure and a few months later I was good. The staff at Dr. Camara’s were not kind either.

This office has to have the most unprofessional NP and RN's I have ever dealt with. They're were very rude and aggressive on the phone answering my questions. Not one ounce of professionalism, I would never recommend anyone to go there. Side Note: The receptionist was friendly at least.

Dr. Camara has treated me for various GI problems that have been resolved under his care. I continue to see him for routine testing and I would highly recommend him to everyone!

No diagnosis for months. Staff is rude. An NP I was seeing failed to call me back FIVE times! I was told by the staff she would call. You wait and wait for a call back and nothing. I called back the next day during office hours and the same thing again. It was unbelievable. And when I mentioned it to the doctor it was blown off. Was given two different results from a single procedure. The PA and NP did not listen when you spoke. They'd cut you off after a few words and jump to the next question. I've dealt with many physicians over the years and have never dealt with anything like this. I'm still sick and feel like I didn't fit the standard GI illnesses. I was never told about any special diet to help me, put on a med that shouldn't be taken long term but wasn't told this. Paperwork wasn't sent out to another physician after I was told it was. This held me up for three weeks from getting another appointment for a second opinion.

I agree with the comment that this supposed "caring" doctor described in other reviews was not the doctor I saw. The initial appointment went well -BUT Dr. Camara spent the first 20 of the 30 minutes asking my opinion of world events -- based upon my former employment (law enforcement). He prescribed Meds for my later-diagnosed GERD, but failed to respond to 2 letters sent asking for a change in Meds -- not even a call from his office.

I don't know what happened to the kind, compassionate dr everyone is talking about below but his staff are rude. His answering service doesn't like to take messages and he never bothered to show his face before or after my colonoscopy. I am in serious pain (that i was told wouldnt hurt)but I can't even get a call back. I am not impressed!

Dr Camara and his staff are the best. Dr Camara is so kind and always takes time to answer any questions I have. They call me severl time to follow up after a procedure to make sure I am doing well. I never have to wait long for an appointment.
