Dr. Daniel Joseph Sheridan, DDS

A graduate of Newport Catholic High School, Dr. Sheridan attended Northern Kentucky University and the University of Cincinnati as an undergraduate, before attaining his dental degree from the University of Louisville in 1993. He opened his practice the same year.  
An avid horse lover, Dr. Sheridan and his wife, Mary Beth, have three wonderful children, Daniel, Blake, and Ansley.
“Our family is the most important part of our life,” Dr. Sheridan says of he and his wife, “and I am very grateful to the profession of dentistry for helping me create a foundation that has allowed me to follow my dreams, and to see my goals become reality. Dentistry is very rewarding because it allows me and my staff not only to provide our patients with the best possible dental care, but to witness the positive difference it makes in their lives.”
Dr. Sheridan’s passion for dentistry has its roots in childhood, when as a boy of 12 he received dental treatment for his “less than perfect” …teeth by a young dentist who not only helped him correct his dental problems, but made him appreciate the value of good dental care. An early career as a stage hand, from the age of 16-26, eventually gave way to his passion for dentistry, as did the need to provide for his growing family.
The Sheridan dental team takes great pride in staying on top of the latest in dentistry and dental technology, always with the ultimate goal of providing their patients with outstanding – and pain free! – results.
Dr. Sheridan was President of his dental school class, and is a Past President of the Northern Kentucky Dental Society. He was appointed by the Kentucky State Government to a position on the Local and District Health Board, which oversees and approves financing and operations for the Health Department. This position allows him a unique opportunity to pass on information about health-related issues to his own patients, on such diverse services as diabetes clinics, information hotlines and cancer screenings.
Dr. Sheridan is also the Acting Chair of the Community Health Promotion Committee, an organization that informs and promotes services offered to the community by the Health Department. Committee members also monitor the effectiveness of promotional campaigns in order to make the best possible use of resources, and to address the diverse health-related needs of the general public.
