Daniel Shin, MD, PhD

Dr. Daniel Shin, MD, PhD, is an immunologist in the Division of Immunology at Boston Children’s Hospital and an instructor of pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. He specializes in pediatric allergy and immunology, with expertise in primary immunodeficiency disorders, severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID), allergies, and immune system disorders in children. Dr. Shin earned both his medical degree and PhD from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his pediatrics residency and allergy/immunology fellowship training at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to his clinical work, he conducts research at the Center for Immunology and Inflammatory Diseases at Massachusetts General Hospital, focusing on immune system function and inflammatory disease. He is recognized for his compassionate, patient-centered approach and dedication to advancing care for children with complex immunologic conditions.
