Dr. Daniel Stephen Shrager, MD

Hadn't seen Dr. Shrager for a few years, but needed help for depression. He prescribed me an excellent medication and I feel better already! Thank you.

Dr. Shrager is one of the most compassionate / competent doctors one could ever hope to find when suffering with a debilitating illness. My first visit was more than 20 years ago. To say he's been a lifesaver would not do him justice. His patience, knowledge and bedside manner have truly been a blessing.

Dr. Shrager is a superb, compassionate and skilled psychiatrist, recognized by other physicians for his expertise in psychotherapy. He has done more to improve the quality of my life than it is possible to explain, to reflect he did not begin therapy until after decades of care by others that began with a clearly flawed diagnosis nearly 30 years before I was referred to him.

Dr. Shrager is my 8th psychiatrist, and I am staying with him. He is empathetic, caring, and so understanding. In the 2 years I've seen him, once in a while the wait will be long, or he might be having a down day - as any human being does from time to time.... In terms of his skills, he is sharp and keeps up with current research. I feel fortunate to have found him. He is one of the last psychiatrists in the area who is well-versed with both psychology and psychopharmacology. He truly does care. He is a gem. :)

I have been Dr. Shrager's patient for several years for bipolar disorder. No one could detect this as a result of his expertise as both a clinician and as a talk therapist. His knowledge of psychopharmacology is wondrous, as it his sensitivity.
