Dr. Daniel Ray Smith, MD

I had my first appointment with Dr. Smith and I could never get a word in. I think the most important thing a doctor can do is listen to a patient first. He had his presentation ready and his mind made up and that was it. He may be the smartest guy in the world. If you can’t listen to the patient, it doesn’t matter. I switched.

I have had incredible help and cooperation from Dr. Daniel Smith at PAR. He was one of only two doctors in Richmond who actually helped me with my Restless Leg Syndrome that I have had since 2002. My primary care doctor and a neurologist sent me down the most miserable RLS path I have ever had. It lasted seven weeks. No sleep. I saw Dr. Smith the first time, and he immediately recognized the problem and corrected the treatment regimen. I was back to normal a normal sleeping pattern the very next day. Since then I have had several appointments, and he has helped me enormously. He listens, he studies the problem, he remembers the details, and he does something about it. Ten stars to Dr. Smith!

Dr. Smith saw my husband in St. Mary’s. He talked on and on about himself as if trying to impress. He wasn’t willing to listen. Would not recommend him.

I would highly recommend Dr. Smith. He is very thorough in explaining on layman's terms. Excellent chairside manners and very friendly and professional.
