Dr. Daniel Curtis Starr, MD

Incompetent staff. I was put on a wait list, months in advance, for new patient scheduling in June. I was told that someone would call me to schedule the appointment. Since no one was calling me, I called the office. I was told the person who did that was on vacation, but that they saw my name on the list and would be calling me. I never received calls back for multiple messages left. Today someone finally left me a message as if they didn't even listen to the message I had left that explained my scenario. The message explained that new patients were not be accepted until September. I called the office and explained again what I had been waiting for. No accountability or ability to even do anything about it. When I said that this showed incompetency on the part of the staff, so what does this say about the doctor, I was told "I completely understand." ...What??? Needless to say, my wait is over.

Thought he be more, concerned about our health?And listen to us, we do know our bodies?

Dr. Starr takes the time to listen to and address patient concerns. He runs all appropriate tests and keeps you updated on what he is going to do every step of the way. Staff was very professional, medical assistant was very efficient!! Dr Starr personally called me (doesn’t happen often these days) and let me know the results to my blood work over the phone. This was comforting to me and shows that he is dedicated to the health of his patients! I’m very happy my mom recommended Dr. Starr! Definitely a genuine, trustworthy guy. Thank you Dr. Starr!

I have been with Dr Starr now for more than a year. I can honestly say that I have never received better more compete/competent care. I am self-insured and will continue to see Dr Starr whenever the need arises.

Not a pompous bone in his body! Very intelligent, knowledgeable, courteous. Rare to find excellent bedside manner AND skill, but he has both. Even more rare is his unique ability to agree to disagree without having the "How dare you question my god-like complex?" Very down to earth and I believe truly cares about his patients. Get in before he fills up and can't take more patients!

I used to see him when he was at this location and was so upset when I heard he left. I found out he opened his own practice in Viera and made an appointment to get established immediately. He is the best doctor in town!

I had the same experience as the other man I have fibromyalgia and my doctor is in Deltona that treats me for my fibromyalgia and I am on oxycodone and Lyrica also on blood pressure medicine and folic acid for B 12 I decided I needed a doctor closer to home just for a GP in case of the flu or just in general the man walked into the room and said to me I only had a chance to glance at your chart and I saw that you are on Oxycodone he told me to leave I was so stunned all I can do is sit there and stare at him and then he continued to go on and on and on about himself and what he went through with some patients at the clinic he worked at in Alaska and how he won't give me any pain pill I told him I did not need pain pills from him I have a doctor for that he then waved his arm in the air and told me to keep going to the other doctor and told me to leave again finally I just stood up and went to leave and he said and good luck finding anyone else in this town I have lived here for 17… years my husband has a top secret security clearance with the government we are both upstanding citizens of this community and this man has such a problem with pain meds I think somewhere he is hiding something he either has a problem himself or he had gotten into trouble I don't know but I finally got a hold of The administration office and reported him it is illegal to treat someone who is already being treated by a doctor for pain for another doctor to treat you this way then I went into see the other Doctor Who is there at the same office the woman and dr. Starr was asking people in the office what I was there for did I ask for pain pills followed me around he tried to intimidate me there's something very wrong with this man.

Great new doctor in the area. So thankful we found him and highly recommend him to all our friends and family!

Don't waste your time on this guy. I was there looking for a new family doctor and wanted to have routine bloodwork plus prescription refill for my blood pressure medicine. I take hydrocodone prescribed by my rheumatologist after a failed knee replacement incapacitated me six months ago. Before I could even say a word about why I was there he started lecturing me for about ten minutes about drug abuse and and that he did not give pain meds. I was so stunned that I was speechless but finally told him that I'm not a drug addict nor have I asked you for any pain meds!! I' m 69 years old and have never abused drugs of any kind. Can't believe what a jerk he was and how he treated me! On top of that he never even asked me about any medical problems I might have been there for!!
