Dr. Daniel Lee Trimberger II, MD

I went to Dr Trimberger to get a shot of Cortisone in my knee as I am 80 and most of my joints need help. He gave me a shot and it worked well and scheduled me back for an injection of Gel about 10 days later as he said it would last longer than Cortisone. When I came back just before the DR came in a lady had me sign a release form as she said on very rare occasion's they didn't work well. The Doctor never warned me that it might cause me problems before injecting me with it but he did say it would be 30 days before it started working. The next morning I could not open my right hand at all and all of my joints were sore. My knee went from a-ok to bad. It is sore all of the time and I am having trouble walking now. He did tell me the last time that I talked to him that this Gell was a new one they were trying and they did have one other person that had a problem with the Gel. He also told me that there was no way to remove the Gel and I might be in pain until it wears away naturally… and that could take quite a time but I could consider seeing a surgeon and I honestly feel that surgery is what they had in mind when I first entered his office as I felt like they were pushing surgery to patients. I will say that when I called to office on a weekend he did return my call and he did draw fluid out of the knee one time and that helped a little for a couple of days but now it is back to hurting all of the time again even whenI am off of my feet in bed. The Gel injection kick started my immune system and now it is raising hell with my body. Watch out for Gel injections especially if you are a senior! citizen.

He was the E.R. doctor when I recently went to the hospital for what we all thought was a hernia. He correctly re-diagnosed it as an infection. He even got to use sharp instruments on me. Oh yes, we had a great time. Seriously, though, I really liked his bedside manner. I'd choose him if he was in my HMO.
