Dr. Daniel Walz, MD

My experience in obtaining a hip replacement from Dr. Walz at the Mercy Orthopedic Hospital in Ozark MO was life changing for me. Prior to my surgery I had spent 2 years in a bent crouch position, dependant on a walker & with a horrible limp. I was unable to stand upright on both legs. My pain was unbearable. As soon as I entered the clinic & hospital I was so impressed with the caring and knowledgable way the staff & doctors handled me as a patient. From the very day of my surgery I have been upright & walking. I am 57 & no longer feel like I am 80. I am able to stand on both legs, the recovery has been amazing. I also have spine problems and feel if it had been just my hip I would have had an easier time. But at least now I am only dealing with my spine. The method used has made this a remarkable succcess. I went from my city in Oklahoma to Springfield and would do it again in a heartbeat if I needed a hip or knee replacement. Dr. Walz did an amazing thing for me, it is like getting… my life back. I would recomend this Dr. to anyone needing this surgery. If I had to say what I disliked, it would be the pump & leg wraps you wear for 2 weeks after your surgery. They made things more difficult, but I understood the importance of preventing blood clots in the legs, so it was necessary. My entire care was at the highest level. Any & all concerns are addressed & solved before they move on. If you are looking into hip or knee replacement you would be doing yourself a favor if you choose this doctor.
