Dr. Daniel T Weaver, MD

My daughter has been seeing Dr. Weaver since she was 8 months old. She is now 16. If it was not for his knowledge and abilities, she probably would have lost her sight in her left eye. Yes, I know it takes months to get an appointment and once at the office you have to wait, but to be able to see a Dr. such has him it is worth it. If you don't understand the things he is saying ask. He will explain them. If you have questions, ask. My wife and I were terrified when we brought our daughter in. She had to be sedated at 8 months, so Dr. Weaver and a colleague could look at her eyes to pinpoint the problem area and provide a diagnosis. After that, we were told the problem and what we needed to go forward. No one better in the area in my opinion

He removed my eye lenses when I was 8 years old. 18 years ago. Two years ago I had to have shards of eye lens he left in burned out during a retina surgery, and today a shard he left in in the other eye came loose and is now free floating in my eye. I don’t know if he’s improved but if you can go to someone else, do.

He knows his stuff if you don't understand just ask questions he was great with my young child

Finally left after after over an hour of wsiting in office, even 1st thing in the morning. We had other appointments to get to. Takes about 4-6 montjs to even GET an appointment. He knows his business, if you ever get to see him. Very dissatisfied with the customer service.

We found our way to Dr. Weaver after exhausting all the options in our home town. He was the first doctor who knew exactly what my kids needed, and was able to take care of both of their eye issues without surgery. He appreciates the fact that I'm a self-educated advocate for my kids medical needs -- in contrast to an eye doc here at home who described me as "combative" in his notes. Grrr. Yes, office wait times can be long, and Dr. Weaver talks fast, but you won't find a more skilled pediatric eye doc for many hundreds of miles!

Doesn't listen, doesn't explain thoroughly, is undecisive. In 1 visit will change his mind 3 or more times.
