On Point...

Dr Whitmer is a kind and compassionate person. It sound like a cliche but it’s true! He is as well an excellent physician.

Very hard to reach anyone in the office. I have been trying to reach him for 2 days and keep getting the message they have received a lot of calls and to call back later. I have left a message on the nurse line but no one is calling me back. I had to go to an after hours clinic for treatment of something that his nurse or he should have been able to handle. Doesn't he have an after hours number to reach him?

Dr Whimer is one of most friendly and personable physicians one could ever have. But is a poor diagnostion. Unless you have something simple (e.g. a cold or the flu) a patient can count on extensive diagnostic testing or an immediate referral to a specialist, for what often turns out to be a simple ailment.

Dr Whitmer is great. The office staff is slow.

The Doctor is a basic Doctor, no better no worse, but his office staff leaves a tremendous bad taste in ones mouth.. They are rude and disengaged.. They have no interest in helping or even acknowledging the patients concerns, requests or inquiries.. Their answers to anything are abrupt with no eye contact, one feels as though they are bothering them.. Very uncomfortable..

Great Doctor and staff; he is now my Primary Care Doctor. I am prior military.

I have been seeing Dr. Whitmer for a while now. All he has done is not listen and try to shove more depression meds down my throat. Whenever I say the meds are not working I feel the same and no changes he says see you again in four weeks. I've some really bad back pain, I mention to him not once, not twice, but ten times in a single appointment and he still did not listen and was rushing me out of the office. Finally after I refused to leave he ordered an xray and said see you in four weeks. I wound up in the ER five days later and come to find out I have some really bad issues with the discs in my back.. Thanks for nothing. Thinking it is time for a new doc..

I have been seeing Dr. Whitmer for about a year now. I have had many G.P.'s over the years in various parts of the country, and none have been as good as Dr. Whitmer. He does what most physicians refuse to do today...LISTEN! Most physicians "know it all", and have little regard for what you are telling them you are experiencing. Seems most are just out to see how they can diagnose you with something that coincides with a drug they can prescribe that will get them a trip to Hawaii from the drug rep! Dr. Whitmer has excellent bedside manner and has a genuine interest in helping his patients! I wouldn't trust my health to anyone else.
