Dr. Daniel Walter Yarrish, MD

I had been going to another internist for 12 years and finally got fed up with her. I did my research on DR. Yarrish and he is a wonderful Doctor. He runs all the necessary tests to get to the problem, he listens, asks if You have any questions and is a patient man. I feel very confident in his care and his office assistants follow up on your needs quickly and are very efficient. I am so glad that I found him, should have been sooner. Keep up the great work!!

Dr. Yarrish is easy to talk to, concerned without being alarmed, explains things in a way that makes the patient understand, has an amazing ability to remember even non-medical items (such as remembering conversations about work or family conducted a year prior). Dr. Yarrish is remarkable.

Dr. Yarrish is a great doctor that has helped me on various occasions. Dr. Yarrish knows his limits and if he thinks I need to see a specialist he always has excellent ones in his selection. I have seen him for over 10 yrs and even if I am traveling in another state or out of the country he or his assistant always calls me back timely to review my situation. I remember when I was a child there were TV doctors like Kildare, Casey, Marcus Welby that really cared about their patients being healthy not just how many they can see in a day. Dr. Yarrish is one of the doctors, If you need an super internist you cant miss with Dr. Yarrish.

After my previous doctor discontinued private practice, I was a patient to his replacement; however, I was not satisfied and began a search for another doctor. In a casual conversation, Dr. Yarrish was recommended because he listened to this patient and was concerned. I made an appointment with Dr. Yarrish and I've been very satisfied with the medical care I receive from him. He will talk over in depth medical concerns; is up on the latest medications and all their ramifications (not easy); he is called the "coumadin king" by his assistant. He is held in high esteem by patients, other doctors and nurses alike. He is both very intelligent and compassionate. This is a combination I look for in a physician. Since I'm a lifetime coumadin patient, I rely heavily on his knowledge and expertise in this area. I've recommended Dr. Yarrish to a friend who has also made him her physician. Because he is a great physician, it is now a bit more difficult to get an appointment; but he has… added an after hours day to his schedule.

I've been going to Dr. Yarrish for about eight years now (I think). I have found him consistently knowledgeable, thoughtful and open-minded. He's also refreshingly honest and candid. He is open to dialogue, discussion and other points of view. I actually look forward to seeing him because I always learn something. FYI, he's pretty current on research on supplements, alternative medicine, etc. I haven't had him bring it up, but when I did it fostered a healthy discussion.

This doctor was treating a family member. The family member did not get better, only got worse because Dr. Yarrish had misdiagnosed the underlying medical problem. His remedy was to write prescriptions that only masked the problem and made problems worse. We, as family, tried to give information to Dr. Yarrish to help out loved one, but was ignored by Dr. Yarrish and his staff. The staff was very rude and unconcerned about the medical problem.

Dr. Yarrish has treated several family members, including myself, and has consistently provided quality service. He is friendly and is one of those rare doctors that actually will listens to the patient. He is not afraid to spend time answering questions and gives honest answers, even if it is a simple I need to research that one. He will not pull any punches and gives you straight answers even in those difficult situations of when someone needs to say it. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a family care provider or someone with specific needs. A+++

Dr. Yarrish listened to my problem. I had been to several doctors who labeled me with depression over the past five years. I told Dr. Yarrish I was not depressed but very tired beyond normal. He listened, ordered tests, more tests. He found that I have idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and that my heart was working at 35% of normal. It was so good to have someone listen. He recommended a Cardiologist and I have been feeling much better. I took medical retirement so I can stay at home and rest. I am very thankful for Dr. Yarrish. I feel he saved my life.
