Daniela Matei, MD

Dr. Daniela Matei is a hematology and oncology specialist with 34 years of experience treating patients with blood disorders and cancer. She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Carol Davila in Bucharest, Romania, and completed her residency at State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1996. Dr. Matei further advanced her training through a fellowship at the University of California at Los Angeles, finishing in 2002. She is fluent in French, English, and Romanian.

Dr. Matei practices at Houston Methodist Oncology Partners in Houston, Texas, and maintains hospital privileges at Indiana University Health Hospital. She specializes in treating lung cancer and oral cancer, providing comprehensive care for these complex conditions. Dr. Matei also manages chronic kidney disease in her patients.
