Dr. Daniela Marin Phillips, MD

I had Dr. Phillips for my primary doctor for approximately 5 years. Each year I actually dreaded going in for my yearly appointment. Five previous doctors of mine had left the clinic, so she was the 6th in line. She has now left the clinic as well. She was cold, non-caring, actually hurt me several times during exams and when I would say OUCH, she did not even apologize. She's hard to understand, I never felt comfortable with her, and quite frankly am glad I've had to now find another Dr.

Worst experience I’ve had with any doctor. No concern over my pain and made it seem like I was over-reacting. I had seen a few doctors prior (tele-health) and when the pain/swelling and tenderness in my fingers became worse I was told to be seen immediately. She poke and squeezed my finger and told me that I must have cut my nail too short (which they are always the same length) and it had to be an in-grown nail. She told me my cuticles were short which I told her they always have been and I do not trim them it’s just the way they have always been (making me feel self-conscious). When I told her there feels to be something in there she said she would do an x-ray to confirm. Following the x-ray she re-enters the room and said everything was normal and there were no signs of fluid so to continue the medications I was given (both topical and oral antibiotic) and Advil for pain and it should resolve itself. She was very cold and non-empathetic. I would suggest if you need a last minute… appointment you would get better care at urgent care or wait to be seen by a different doctor. Just to add to this disregard for my health, I received multiple voicemails a few days following the appointment that the radiologist saw a growth in my thumb (where the swelling and pain is) and I needed to get in as soon as possible to see an orthopedic surgeon and have an MRI without and without contrast. At my appointment with the orthopedic dr she pulled up my x-rays and I was SHOCKED to see the large growth that was missed. I’m still in the process of dealing with the pain and waiting to get in for an MRI to confirm a surgical removal of whatever the growth is.

I switched to Dr Phillips this year and saw her 3 times. She was always extremely thorough and never in a rush with me. Great "bedside manner".

She was great, she was my doctor for 15 years!

Came in to have 2 suspicious moles removed. Moles were removed and sent to pathology. Three days later I got a call from a Plastic Surgeon's office asking me when I would like to set up a consultation about having my MELANOMA (skin cancer) removed. WHOOPS! My doctor forgot to call and tell me I had skin cancer. When I asked the plastic surgeon's office what they were talking about they said "Hasn't your physician contacted you?" I said no, and they said I would need to call her. I called and asked about my pathology results. She says "Yes, they're not very good. You need to come in so we can discuss them.". Is that how you would like to find out you have cancer? Didn't think so. She was TERRIBLE about follow up and when I faxed over paper work for her to fill out she failed to even do that. Needless, to say, I switched my primary. Thanks for making the hardest time of my life even more difficult for me, Dr. Phillips. You're absolutely without a doubt, THE WORST doctor I've ever… encountered.
