Showed up four minutes late to appointment and called office prior to arriving to let them know I’ll be there in a couple of minutes. Literally FOUR minutes late and as I’m signing in receptionist said they are canceling because I’m late. There were no instructions when making my appt that I had to be there exactly on the dot or 15 minutes before. I understand it’s my fault but this action was harsh and such an inconvenience. I did not reschedule as this represent a lack of compassion, communication, and care for patients who are working and take off using PTO to seek healthcare. Four minutes late even with a call before hand and they wait till I get there to cancel me. I could respect a no late policy if that was relayed to me prior to making an appt or if I was 10 min late. Staff and doctor are selfish. And I was told they need to get off at 12 on a Friday so obviously that is more important. I’m sure I would have had to wait to be seen regardless.
