Worst communication of any doctor I have ever been to.

I was having severe back pain. My usual Doctor was on vacation. I work a very physical job. I needed to be examined and to get a doctors note, as that is what is required by my employer to be off more than a few days, which I had gone over, but my boss had mercy and sent me to the urgent care where I was seen by Danielle Cowan. She examined me and determined that I needed to see a specialist and needed more testing done. I explained to her my work situation but she refused to write a note saying that I needed to be off work. She said it was against policy at the Beaumont After Hours clinic. I was baffled and told her that if she didn't write the note that I'd have to return to work the next day. She had no sympathy and suggested that I risk my employment status and call in anyway. I returned to work and ended up in the emergency room with much worse symptoms two days later. An MRI showed that I had two herniated disks. This means that I can never work the job I was working ever… again. A fellow employee went to the same clinic the following week. He had the flew and was not cleared to return to work for a week. He received a note from a Doctor at the same clinic. The same kind of note I needed. I'm not sure how a Doctor could be so oblivious to the most basic needs of her patients. If she didn't want to see me again, why wouldn't she write a note that stated that I couldn't return to work until I was examined by another doctor? I specifically asked her for this. She refused. She very callously refused. This was the first time in my life that I have had to deal with a problem like this. If I had to do it over again I would have gone straight to the emergency room. Who knows what the extra day and a half did to aggravate my injury. I mean I was being prepped in the emergency room for surgery two days later. I hadn't so much as met the surgeon. I refused. Luckily I was introduced to a physical medicine specialist who is very competent and he immediately began to reverse the course that I was put on by Danielle Cowan.
