Summary
Dr. Dion was born in Manhattan Beach, California and grew up in Carpinteria, a small town just south of Santa Barbara. She moved to Portland to attend Lewis & Clark College where she received an honors degree in Biochemistry and met her husband. She then moved back to California and worked as a wine chemist before moving east to Nashville, Tennessee, where she attended medical school and completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Vanderbilt University. As a second year resident, Dr. Dion won the resident-to-resident teaching award from the intern class. She was also honored with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award for Special Excellence in Minimally Invasive Surgery, the Resident Research Award and the Best Consultant to the Midwife Practice Award upon completing residency. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Although she enjoys all aspects of OB/GYN care, Dr. Dion is particularly interested in obstetrics, preventive …health and minimally invasive surgery. In her spare time, Dr. Dion enjoys cooking; hiking; exercise; and spending time with her family.
