Dr Phillip has a pleasant persona. I don’t think she has enough experience to manage the complexity of my medical condition. She does not listen well to me. It’s as though she has a script that she uses to speak to me and a box she puts me in. I find her to be dismissive. She basically told me to manage many significant, often painful illnesses by cultivating a more positive attitude. She tells me things I already know before checking to see if I am aware. If I challenge her on anything, she spends the next 10 minutes justifying what she said. She interrupts and doesn’t leave time for me to formulate a response to her questions. She sermonizes and plays amateur therapist. Most of what she says is designed to make herself feel better about her medical advice, not to provide care to me as a human being sitting in a room with her. So if you aren’t very sick, and you want a doctor who chirpingly calls you darlin’ and wants a hug at the end of an appointment, give her a call.
