Dr. Danielle L. Sobol

Danielle L. Sobol, MD, is a fellowship-trained pediatric plastic surgeon providing high-quality, family-centered care for children and adolescents with congenital and acquired conditions. With advanced training, she treats a full range of craniofacial conditions, including a high volume of children born with cleft lip and/or cleft palate, craniosynostosis, craniofacial microsomia, and other noncraniofacial congenital anomalies. She offers orthognathic (jaw) surgery and management of facial trauma. As a member of the Texas Cleft-Craniofacial Team, she is committed to a multidisciplinary care approach based on each patient’s needs, allowing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans.   
Sobol is also an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. When not in the clinic or operating room, she is passionate about education and mentorship, training the next generation of surgeons. 
Sobol has moved across the …country multiple times to gain top-ranked training and strives to continue advancing in her field. She earned her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine, continuing her lifelong passion for medicine. Next, she continued to excel at the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital throughout a busy plastic surgery residency. She further sought a specialized fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, with Emory University, refining her expertise in pediatric and craniofacial surgery.   
She treats children of all ages and even offers prenatal appointments for families with ultrasound findings of cleft or other craniofacial differences. While much of her practice focuses on children, she does extend her expertise to adults with congenital differences or complex facial trauma.   
Outside of work, Sobol enjoys being outdoors, traveling, sampling Houston’s vibrant food scene, and spending time with her loving family and puppy.
