Dr. Danka Katarina Michaels, MD

Short tempered, snippy. Critical of your concerns. Does not believe in Senior Flu vaccines for people over 65. (Even though online you show the difference between the two.) My blood test showed I am very anemic. She will not allow me to take iron pills, took away fish oil, pretty much all vitamins. I lost 35 pounds and I’m losing my hair and she disagreed. She said only 2 pounds...( Right that was three months ago. I haven’t weighed 130 since I was 25 years old!) (“Your thyroid is OK, you’re good”). What really really scared me today? Her nurse told me there was Covid all over the room and on my shoes and on the chairs. I brought a sheet because I need to be and feel more protected whenI sit on cloth chairs, because I have COPD and I am 74 years old. The nurse said that Covid was on the floor, on my shoes, on the other side of the sheet and the bugs were crawling up on the side of the sheet that I was sitting on. I should never bring a sheet again. Well that didn’t make me… feel comfortable in the slightest! So I shared this with Dr. Michaels and she said I don’t understand because once a week on Sunday, we get the office sprayed. Hmm. I went today, Friday...Not not feeling safe at all! (I haven’t been in a store in over 6 months!

Had a controlled prescription due for renewal by Dr. Because they were days late getting it to the drug store I experienced symptoms of withdrawal. I was told by another Dr that Dr michaels was out of office for 5days and my phone calls went unanswered. Dr told me that I need to see her every six months which I was not told about by staff

After 3 weeks I’m still waiting for my biopsy results. Steinberg and Quest have released results to Dr Michaels but after several phone calls to her office no one calls me back.

Staff is ridiculous. Customer Service is not having someone sigh, be rude and on top of that unable to speak clearly without mumbling. Really Dr. Danak??? Is this your idea of customer service. No, we don't have a lot of choices when it comes to doctors in in Vegas but, it doesn't give your staff the right to be rude and obnoxious. They are representing you very poorly.

I was a patient of Dr. Michaels for approximately 10 years, to have my annual physical exam only. I became ill early in 2015 and experienced a different situation with staff and Dr. Michaels. Repeatedly phone calls would not be returned or extended as promised, mistaken lab orders sent to the wrong facility, Dr.'s time (after waiting almost an hour from my appt time), spent with me, maybe 5 minutes. Upon arriving, never looked at me, never touched me, no examination, just an exorbitantly expensive prescription amongst several other prescriptions and of course each time I had to return, another fee to be paid. I was so perplexed by my experience, it became increasingly more and more frustrating. I thought she was awesome but then again I never really utilized the services outside of an annual physical. It was indeed a rude awakening.

I had an appointment with the doctor last Tuesday for an annual check up and to renew my prescriptions. Not only have my prescriptions not been sent to the pharmacy, but now the office staff is lying to me and telling me that they have called me when they have not. It's not like I am asking for Oxycodone; it's Tramadol for pain due to screws after a surgery 3 years ago and it's about 35 degrees here. So after calling for three days, (two separate days last week after my appointment and today)I have determined that this doctor doesn't care about her patients comfort or well being. Time to find a new doctor.

Worst doctor ever! Made me get tests that had nothing to do with why I was there. Tried to give me pain killers that I didn't want to take. Accused me of lying about my symptoms. Did nothing to treat my illness.

Dr. Michaels was my Husbands physician and now mine, I think she is wonderful. She always has time for her patients. Her bedside manner is spectacular. I recommend her to everyone that says they need a Doctor.

Great and caring doctor listens to what you say and discus's what and why she is doing really makes me at ease overall great doctor
