Dr. Danny Bega, MD

My family had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Bega this weekend in the hopes of helping my father who has received subpar care for his Parkinson's disease. Dr. Bega treated us with such respect and took the time to really understand my father's limitations, go over and tweak his meds (much needed!) and truly explain in plain terms what was happening. His nursing staff was also compassionate and resourceful. We are thrilled to call Dr. Bega my father's Doctor and we feel safer knowing he is in great hands. I couldn't recommend Dr. Bega and his team more highly!

Saw Dr. Bega today and was highly satisfied as always. Early this year, I collapsed and couldn’t stand and walk. Three neurosurgeons, six neurologists, numerous frustrations and stress later, he was the only one who had an attack plan and I stayed with. Three months after I saw him, I was back on my feet, returned to work with restrictions. He is very knowledgeable and patient, comparing my performance and progress to the notes that he recorded from previous visits. He explains conditions and treatments, listens and understands, and spends ample time to answer questions, address concerns of me and my family member’s. He communicates and coordinates with my other doctors on tests, medication, and treatment plans, to achieve the best outcome possible. He recommends follow-up phone calls for any potential issue in-between visits. His staff are always friendly and helpful, especially RN Mickey. Whenever I had an issue, I’d call Mickey, no matter for a medication question, a new… prescription or refill, a test order, or paperwork for work etc., it was done, and was done promptly. Dr. Bega always has students’ hands on during my visits, or when he sees fit, let them examine me first, discusses before he comes in and does his own examination, explains what he observes and relates to theories. He is not only a good doctor, he is also a good teacher, an intelligent and trustworthy professional.

Dr Bega was assigned to me after my doctor left. He comes in the office, nods, and sits in front of the pc. He'll ask how I'm feeling, still looking at the computer, then he'll have me move my wrist, walk down the hall and we are done. He is so cold that I can't wait to leave and I did, found someone else. I know we are not there to make friends, for what they charge he could make eye contact, at least pretend that he cares. Very standoffish, in my opinion, incapable or unwilling to smile.

Dr. Bega has been wonderful in helping us both understand the disease and understand life moving forward. His staff is always available for those panic phone calls and always provides assistance and support.
