Dr. Pugh was very thorough in explaining the surgery I will be having and what I could expect afterwards. He listened to my questions and concerns and gave me very good answers. He was very caring and attentive. He was highly recommend to me by friends who and been former patients and I can readily see why they liked him so much.

I was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer a year ago and elected to have a (L) radical mastectomy. I have to say the Dr.Pugh and his staff and the nursing staff at ETMC-Athens were the only bright spots in the whole process....Dr Pugh is a highly capable surgeon and went the extra mile on every professional level. Words are inadequate to express how much I appreciate him,his and the hospital's nursing staff. I felt my anxieties about the surgery and outcome were addressed . three botched surgeries major abdominal surgeries, sent me home with an infection and instructions to return in 2 -3 weeks. would have died if I had not gone to another doctor.

Dr. Pugh turned a relatively simple problem - appendicitis, I think - into THREE major surgeries. I required three additional surgeries from a different doctor to try (unsuccessfully) to remedy the damage he did. Total of six major abdominal surgeries in under two years. It was quite profitable for the medical professionals involved, but my life has not been the same and I have continued problems because of the botched surgery.
