Dr. Dara Aliff

I had a high hope. I was looking for DO. I called to see if I can make an appointment for some problems I have. I was turned down for the reason of not having an insurance. I have a medical cost sharing plan. What a disappointment! I might have to call my previous doctor in another state!

I went into very early labor. The care plan put in place by her and Dr. Lao probably saved my baby's life. She is also one of the most genuinely nice people you'll ever meet. We are so lucky to have her as our doctor.

Dr. Aliff is very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. She takes her time with you and answers your questions - makes you feel completely at ease. I have recommended her office to many people.

Dr. Dara Aliff is wonderful! She really cares about her patients and takes a genuine interest in you. She listens to everything you have to say and addresses any questions or concerns you have. She goes above and beyond to help her patients feel comfortable and to respect any wishes you may have. She even talked with my husband to alleviate his fears and concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Aliff!

Excellent and conscientious physician

Followup on labs not done in a timely manner or not done at all. Never stated complaint to office on this issue.Was referred to another practice for an "evaluation". Little did I know that I was dropped as a patient with no explanation. No response for an answer as to what happened. Didn't know of an issue between patient and staff/physician.

I have never been to a more disorganized office. My first phone call to schedule my first ultrasound has now been 2 weeks ago and I have yet to even get an ultrasound appointment scheduled. I was asked to come in and do blood work. Did that and then they never called to tell me the results or schedule my appointment. So I called the following day and they said you need to get additional blood work to ensure HCG levels are rising. I said fine I will complete at CAMC Teays on Monday morning. They never scheduled my blood work there and so I waited for nothing. I had to wait for their office to open at 8am to notify them that they had not requested my blood work at Teays Hospital. I then went back at 11am and got my blood work and the nurse said it will be faxed within 2 hours to her office. I waited all day and no phone call. I then called to find out, they don't have it or know where it is at. They said we will look and call you back. Guess what, no call back and I still have no… appointment. Therefore, I am moving on to a doctor that has more time for their patients and actually pick qualified and knowledgable staff and assistants. This is my first pregnancy and I was really hoping for a positive experience since I had been with her for 3 years. However, during that time I never met her, her physician assistant (which was great) and previous nurse practitioner (which she was great too). The main thing I am trying to stress is her support staff has made mistake after mistake in the two weeks of just me trying to get an appointment. All I want is to know my baby is ok and I still do not know that because they have yet to get back with me after 2 weeks. Hopefully in the future things start looking up for her and her husband's office. I am sure she probably is a great doctor, however, I believe she is too busy to handle all of her patients and her support staff is failing her miserably.

Both she and her husband/medical partner Dr. Lau are top-notch physicians, and kind, caring people. I had a high-risk pregnancy and Dr. Aliff was always on top of things, and erred on the side of caution, which gave me added peace of mind. She ordered tests when appropriate, made referrals when necessary - and I never had to remind her about the particulars of my situation (as I've had to do with other busy physicians!) She is a highly skilled and competent doctor, with a lovely, caring bedside manner to boot. Not just the best OB-GYN I've ever seen, but simply one of the best doctors I've ever had.

Dr. Aliff is one of the most understanding and caring physicians that I have met. She cares not only about the patient's medical condition, but also about their overall wellbeing. I would recommend her medical services to anyone and I ensure you that you will receive top of the line medical care.
