Dr. Dara Joan Welborn, MD

Staff has gotten terrible. Cant see the doc have to see PA and he just sends you for whatever test he wants and rushes you out of there. Check in gal Ali completely rude. Im changing docs for sure. God doesnt like this behavior, I am sure!

I went to Dara Welborn and found her beyond clue less. I had a fast growing brain anuerysm....I had bad paid and I had to beg for her to do a MRI....when the BRI was done showing the brain anuersym, her staff said she saw it but was too busy ....I had to beg for an apointment....when I had the appointment, Dara told me "you probably won't die, you will just go blind, and I have to go to Africa tonight"...so I was left with no priamry Dr.....while dealing with a brain anuerym. I ended up in ER....I almost died, it was ready to burst and a second one grew......when I got out of the hospital, she was still in Africa and had no one to help me....her PA said "gee I have never seen anyoen that lived through a brain anurysm"....then I had chest pains and was in ER....she refused to even list my heart murmur that I had all my life.....(I have since had open heart surgery).....and if that is not enough...when my body shut down in a certain area.......she blamed it on meds....and bad mouthed… me to my new Dr...it was due to tumors and a swollen uterus that showed up on my CAT scan she never looked at......again I had surgery just in time...I almost died...... How she is allowed to practice ??? If you want to live...RUN from her

if you are humana gold find another doctor. she may be a good doctor but you won't see her, she sent out a letter last fall she was considering dropping humana, then asked if we would stay with her anyway, then another letter like in oops still doing humana. but the reality is humana gold is being sent to the back of the bus. long waits, 3 wk appt then you see a physician assistant ...

Dr Welborn is an excellent doctor. Dr Welborn will give you tons of blood test & other medical procedures to take, as well. She wants to be sure that what ever she diagnosis wrong with you,she will get an accurate answer from the blood test or any other test. She will always referred you to see a specialist. She never guess what she think is wrong with you, until she gets the correct answer from the procedure's exams. That is one of the reasons, I stay with her. Also, her staff is basically all females. There are a lot of turn overs,with her office staff. SO, you might meet new members of her staf, time from time.

Coming from a medical family I can appreciate the high level of medical care Dr Welborn provides. She listens, cares, spends as much time as you need,calls you at home if concerned. A healer in the best sense of the work. Compassion ans expertice. I am luch to have found her.

I have been seeing Dr Welborn since before girls were born. While I have great trust in her as a doctor her pricing for uninsured cash patients has doubled, where most doctors cut the price to help people out while they are out of a job

My whole family has been with Dr. Welborn for many years. It is not always easy to get into see her, but she squeezes us in for emergencies. That is normally when we have to wait for her.Overall I have been grateful for the care she has shown my family, and I have recommended many friends to the practice.

Doctor Welborn is an intelligent doctor. Doctor calls indicating any test results are not an option with this office. Be prepared to reschedule office visits for every follow-up you may have: to review any test, refill, etc. Plan ahead to be sure that you reschedule your "reviews" in advance or be prepared to see an assistant or else wait roughly two weeks to be able to be fit in with the Doctor. Should simple phone calls to discuss prescription changes be something you might need to do, be prepared for the office to not be able to communicate with the assistant or doctor. If you should decided to check throughout the day if the doctor has been contacted and finally at the end of the day point out how unprofessional their communication process is and that this will be brought up to the doctor be prepared to receive a cancellation of you and your family's patient/client relationship from the office via certified mail.
