Dr. Daren Becker has achieved excellence in general dentistry, including crowns, veneers, bonding, and implant restorations. His wonderful chairside manner, which soothes away a patient’s anxiety, further compliments his exquisite dentistry skills. Each patient walks away knowing he truly listened to individual concerns and priorities. Committed to staying at the forefront of dentistry, Dr. Becker not only attends continuing education courses each year, but also participates in several local study clubs to ensure that he is providing the best care for his patients. He received his bachelors of science degree in Computer Science from American …International College prior to earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Florida. He began his advanced studies at the Pankey Institute in 1998 and was invited to be a guest facilitator in 2006. Since then, Dr. Becker has lectured extensively on advanced topics in general dentistry throughout the United States.
His involvement in organized dentistry began the moment he stepped foot into dental school. In 2009, the Pierre Fauchard Academy invited Daren Becker to join the International Honorary Dental Service Organization. The Pierre Fauchard Academy recognizes outstanding dentists and celebrates their achievements. It seeks to support the highest ideals of dentistry throughout the world in both ethical and moral practice, through service to community, country, and profession. Fellowship is a distinction extended to fewer than 4% of dental practitioners worldwide.
Dr. Becker also accepted a clinical/adjunct faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation with the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry. The Ben Massell Dental Clinic (BMDC) is the only resource for comprehensive, quality dental care available to indigent individuals in metro Atlanta. By restoring dental health, the clinic has a life changing impact on more than 6,000 patients each year.
When Dr. Becker is away from the office, he enjoys the company of family and friends, traveling, fly-fishing, golfing and the opportunity to enjoy all that the local cultures and geography have to offer. Dr. Becker lives in the Dunwoody area of Atlanta, GA with his wife, Amanda, and daughters, Alicia & Addison.
Smile fact: Daren is a left handed, flat-footed, chocoholic who knows every word to every song he’s ever heard … but can’t sing in tune.
