Dr. Dario Daniel Lirman, MD

Horrible horrible horrible. The worst. Save your time & energy & take your child(ren) somewhere else. Anywhere else. PA has a reputation for being the worst and it certainly lives up to it. This review goes on to specifically recount a horrifying experience with Dr. Dario Lirman but it’s safe to say the whole place is as bad as it gets. Run. Now, specifically I'll review Dr. Dario Lirman. I saw this doctor for my baby and he rushed me through my questions. I had 10 questions (specifically, about medication, allergies, and a few other very important matters). This is not my first child and I came prepared with my questions written down and ready for the Pediatric Associates rapid-fire style where you have to go fast. However, this wasn’t fast enough for Dr. Lirman. He not only rushed me through my questions (which was only about 2 minutes of questions max), he looked at my husband when answering the questions - never looked at me - and laughed at the end because I guess he thought it… was funny that I was asking my pediatrician medical questions about my baby. I called Pedi Assoc after the appointment and asked to have the doctor call me. I voiced my concern that I felt rushed during the appointment and asked if he prefers if I call after the appointment and ask my questions over the phone instead of during the appointment time. He said that my questions were “excessive” and I need to “prioritize” my questions because if he didn’t cut me off and let me ask all the questions I wanted, I would have gone all day. I assure this is not the case. I had a list of 10 important questions. We mutually agreed this wasn’t a good doctor-patient fit. Not sure who would want a doctor that makes them feel this way. Additionally, I had previously asked him for a recommendation for my daughter’s teething. He told me to use Orajel. When I went in for my child’s checkup, I confirmed that I’ve been using Orajel per his instructions. He then told me ok, as long as it’s “natural.” He made no mention of it having to be “natural” when he initially instructed me to use the Orajel. But he later tells me it must be natural or it can cause medical complications for the baby. Pretty sloppy and unacceptable medical care. I will not be going back to see this doctor and don’t recommend anyone else either. Us parents and our children deserve better. Update: I obviously switched to another doctor - the only other doctor in the practice at that location - Dr. Rivera - for my baby’s next appointment. I was then told after I showed up at the next appointment that the doctor wasn’t showing up and that she’s actually leaving the practice. So I had that appointment with some random substitute doctor and now needed to switch to a different Pediatric Associates. So I scheduled an appointment with yet another new doctor at a new location for my baby’s 1 year appointment. Then, more than 4 months after my traumatizing experience with Lirman, I received a letter from PA saying that they’ll no longer see my children as patients! Blessing in disguise.

415/5000 Dr. Lirman has cared for my daughters since the birth of the eldest 9 years ago. He has been patient, he has explained and consulted every step and every decision with me. He detected very early on a small health problem my youngest daughter has, and thanks to that today she receives the proper treatment and follow-up.
