Dr. Darius Kohan

I would give Dr. Kohan 100 stars (more!) if I could. Dr. Kohan (and his office) are extraordinarily kind and caring. Dr. Kohan restored my hearing. One day I woke up and heard a "pop" sound. I didn't think much of it, however after a few months, I noticed my hearing was greatly diminished plus I had terrible tinnitus which was driving me crazy. I went to see my regular ENT doctor, who had his audiologist test me and confirmed that I had 20% hearing loss. He said that I needed to see an inner ear specialist. He sent me to a top specialist (who I will call "Dr. Z"). Dr. Z read my charts from my ENT and said nothing could be done and suggested a hearing aid. I did try several different kinds but was not happy with any of them. I remembered my appointment with Dr. Z. I felt he was very dismissive and did not take abundant time with me explaining my hearing loss and options. I thought, before I resign myself to hearing loss and needing to wear hearing aids, let me just find the best inner… ear specialist I can and get one final opinion. Thank goodness I listened to my higher self/intuition and not accepted that Dr. Z was a top doctor and stop there. Listen to yourself above anyone else! Thank goodness I did lots of research and found Dr. Kohan. He had his expert audiologist test my hearing. Then Dr. Kohan came into the room and said, "I have good news for you. Your hearing loss is conductive and can be reversed through surgery." That was amazing to me! Dr. Kohan did the surgery and now I hear perfectly once again. A true miracle. Plus Dr. Kohan is one of the kindest men I've ever met. He must be an angel.

Dr. Kohan has been treating me for 3 years for ear pain while flying. He is the only doctor who was able to help me. I am an adult, yet the cure was tubes in both ears. He has been wonderful and I highly recommend him

Finding Dr. Kohan was a godsend. He is incredibly talented and professional. A no nonsense, quiet doctor and a major talent. My husband was diagnosed with Meniere's. We could not get the right doctor to treat him until Dr. Kohan. We highly and happily recommend this outstanding specialist!

I have been a patient of Dr. Kohan’s for 3 years and have seen him approximately a dozen times for different problems. Dr. Kohan is highly knowledgeable with great humility, proceeds in a cautious style and is unfailingly patient in responding to questions. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen with one exception. Dr. Kohan was in surgery and his staff notified me he would be delayed, one sign of his courteous and professional office. Going to a doctor is something we all dread, but Dr. Kohan and his staff make the experience as easy as possible.

Dr. Kohan and his staff are nothing short of wonderful. I had a serious operation in which Dr. Kohan had to actually construct a new ear drum for me. He was calm, personable, gentle, professional, and very professional.

Extremely rude. Will not pick up phone to answer questions post surgery. Makes you wait a long time and will not answer questions posed in post surgical assessment. Never left a review about a doctor before but I felt I had to warn other prospective patients

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Darius Kohan. First, he saved my husband's hearing when he woke up one morning and "spontaneously" lost all hearing in his right ear. A friend recommended Dr. Kohan, and because we moved quickly, Dr. Kohan was able to perform a miracle and restore his hearing. We call him Dr. Wow in our family! I have been deaf in my left ear since 1-1/2 when I got meningitis and lost all hearing in that ear. Most of my life I had good hearing in my right ear, so I didn't need to do anything about my left ear. Three years ago I noticed a loss of hearing in my "good" ear and went to Dr. Kohan myself. I failed my hearing test. With the care, kindness, and guidance of Dr. Kohan, last spring I received a cochlear implant for my left ear and heard a sound inside my head for the first time in over 60 years. Another miracle! It has changed my life!

Had an appointment fairly recently and the doctor was far from nice and very disrespectful to me and the troubles that my condition has been causing. He also made an incorrect diagnosis which wasn’t helpful and left me to fend for myself which I didn’t appreciate. There must be far better doctors.

He never comes to phone . Has an assistant who said I had her email address. Not true. It's very difficult researching these individuals.
