Dr. Darrell Stone Barnett, MD

love dR. Barnett, been my Pediatrician for 21 years. So when i had my second my husband was looking for another Pediatrician , because he had never been to the office. I said no, I love my Pediatrician. After coming in to bring our daughter, he now feels the same. I recommend him to everyone thats looking for a Pediatrician. His bedside manner is awesome the kids love him. My son is 22 now and my daujghter is 15 and we still see Dr. Barnett.

dr. barnett has been my kids peditrician since 1994, when i had my son , he was three wks old..so after i had my daughter in 2000, her dad was talking about looking for a pediatrician, it was a no brainer ,i told him i dont know what he's talking bout ,i already have a peditrician, and i wouldnt think about taking my baby anywhere else , she's now 11 yrs. old..so for me to stick with him this long is proof enough that he's in my eyes one of the very best. I plan on starting my grandchildren with him too.[when i get some] WE LOVE DR. BARNETT AND NURSE RHONDA....

I feel that Dr. Barnett does not really take the time to really understand my children. My children have been to see him many times, and each time was pretty much the same. He was always in a rush and I feel that he doesn't take my questions and concerns seriously. I also think that by not listening to what a parent has to say about the child results in inaccurate diagnosis.

Dr. Barnett has cared for our two children since they were born. He has a very calm personality and is rarely flustered by the chaos of a busy office full of sick, and often screaming children. When the children were babies, he constantly reassured me that I was doing a great job as a mother. Yes, sometimes you have to wait but that's true at most pediatrician's offices. I'd be worried if your doctor wasn't busy. I love his nurse, Miss Rhonda, too. She's the best!

There is just something about Dr. Barnett that I don't like. He seems like a really odd fellow. I am planning to find a new doctor for my child. I feel like he doesn't take my child's illness seriously. I don't like that he doesn't wash his hands when he comes into the room. His nurse doesn't ever wash her hands. He doesn't really seem to have patience for his young patients. Lastly, I think what really turned me off about the doctor was he once stuck his hands directly in my child's mouth without any gloves. My husband and I was absolutely shocked. I should have said something but for some strange reason, I did not. I would not recommend him at all.
