Meet the Staff
I have been working in dentistry for over 30 years and exclusively in orthodontics for over 15 years. Orthodontics is an extremely rewarding profession, and I feel grateful for each day that I am able to come to this practice and help my patients not only improve their smiles but to help them gain confidence in the way they look and feel.
My personal goal as an orthodontist is to exceed my patients expectations. I love watching the transformations that each patient experiences during their treatments. Each day I am reminded why I became an orthodontist; its because of the joy I see in my patients faces when their treatments are complete and they see their new smiles for the first time. Giving someone the gift of a beautiful smile is, in my opinion, the best gift I could ever give.

My experience leading up to becoming an orthodontist has provided me with a solid foundation in dentistry, and a greater, more comprehensive, understanding of dentistry. Before opening my practice, I served 24 years as a dentist in the U.S. Army, as well as spending half of my career as a general dentist.
Continuing Education
As a dentist and orthodontist, my education is never complete. The dental field is constantly changing, and in order to provide my patients with the best care, I regularly attend numerous continuing education courses in orthodontics and dentistry. I am in a constant process of learning how to improve my skills with the advances in technology. I feel that I have an obligation to my patients, who put their trust in me, to be on the cutting edge of my profession.
I am also very grateful for the experiences and the knowledge Ive gained along the way, and I feel that it is my duty to share this opportunity with other dental professionals, so for the last five years, Ive served as the Senior Army Orthodontist teaching at the military training program at Lackland AFB in San Antonio.
Outside of the Practice
I am originally from Kentucky, and growing up in a military family, it was only natural for me to eventually find myself serving in the U.S. Army. I have lived in San Antonio now for over ten years. My beautiful wife, Susan, and I have two adult sons, Chad and Brandon. When Im not busy at the practice, I enjoy traveling, gourmet cooking, and ballroom dancing. I also enjoy working with the local community, and have supported and worked with the San Antonio Conservation Society since 2001 and The Childrens Bereavement Center since 2006.
