Dr. Darrell S. Chun practices general family dentistry in Elk Grove, CA where he has practiced for the last 19 years. Dr. Chun recieved his undergraduate degree from U.C. Davis in 1987 and his dental degree from U.C. San Francisco in 1991. Dr. Chun enjoys practicing all phases of dentistry and feels the importance of staying abreast of the latest technologies in dentistry. By integrating these new pieces of equipement into his practice and expanding on his education for both himself as well as his staff his passion for dentistry has not waned these past twenty years.
The use of hard and soft tissue lasers as well as using digital imaging to fabricate crowns in one appointment has allowed Dr. Chun to provide some of the best care these new technologies can offer.
As a restorative dentist, Dr. Chun has always been able to restore an implant after it had been surgically placed. He has …now expanded his role to offer the surgical placement of the implant to his patients. In that endeavor, Dr. Chun now uses a piece of equipment in the office that allows him to take a radiograph of the patient's upper and lower jaw in three dimensions. This gives both the patient and himself more peace of mind when treatment planning and picking the most succesfull outcome to an implant case.
Dr. Chun is married to his wife De Anna and has two small children named Carmelle and Devin. Although he has hopes that one of the kids may someday take over the practice he is reconciling himself to the fact that one may become a cowgirl and the other a Star Wars action figure (their dreams not dad's)!
