Dr. Darren Wayne Lackan, MD

I am so grateful for Dr Lackan. I was referred to him by my primary for biopsy of a growth on my thyroid. I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. His Nurse practitioners and office staff are great! I’ve had my thyroid removed and I’m still doing treatments but he is so thorough I am never stressed about my situation. I am in good hands and I’m just so grateful for the care I’ve received and the Thyroid Center. Dr Lackan, thank you!!

Even with a mask and vaccination would not let family members back in the room. The patient has cancer! Empathy and having patient advocates is disregarded. Upsetting and would never recommend this place

as referred to Dr. Lackan from a surgeon. I have only seen him once for a biopsy to test a growth in my thyroid that was already determined to need to come out. After the biopsy I asked a few questions about what to expect of the surgery and what to expect afterwards. He informed me that HE did not say it needed surgery and that he would make that determination, furthermore, he did not have time for my questions and that I needed to ask his nurse practitioner at my next appointment. I was less than impressed to say the least. His bedside manner even during the biopsy was terrible. His one redeeming quality is that his NP, Tara, is phenomenal. Please ask to be referred to ANYBODY else!

Can't get a call back to get an appointment. Trying to see if I have thyroid cancer but no on seems to care. 18 days since referral sent an no contact. Left another message today and will see if I ever get a call back. I'm very scared and as I said no one seems to care.

Worst office staff, phone system, wait times, communications. I waited a month back and forth trying to get a response. They are a disaster and apparently don’t need any new patients. Totally UNPROFESSIONAL. A cluster-f**k

Missed appointments, dismissed symptoms, told I was depressed and not ill, I requested blood work that I never received for several appointments.

If you want an appointment, good luck when calling this office. You rarely get a live person on the phone. I called and was on hold for 10 minutes before the call went directly to voice mail. Never talked to a person. Had to leave a message for them to call back to schedule. I don't have the extra time it takes just to get an appointment at this office. Typically it's a 2 day process of phone tag to get anything done. VERY, very frustrating. And this has been going on for years and they don't seem to be willing to re-look at their process to become more patient-friendly. Sorry, I like Dr. Lackan, but not the lack of respect for MY time.

I was a patient of Dr Lacken for several years. I think he is a good dr. but he got so busy that I could never see him, it was always the P.A. His office staff was bad from day one and only got worse over the years. Even some of my other drs. said they had heard complaints about his staff being so bad.

Outstanding Doctor who cares about his patients over all health.

Well I really like Dr Lackan and he was very nice and professional and he did several tests and reassured me that my knot in my throat is benign and this put my mind at ease.
