Dr Rowan saved my life. After an eight foot fall from a ladder onto concrete I saw two different doctors at Emergency Care facilities with in 4 days. Diagnosis cracked ribs. On the 5th day I had greatly declined and was in 10+ pain level. Saw my respiratory doctor of 3 years who sent me straight to the Hospital and have me admitted to the ICU. After all of the scans and xrays about 11:30 pm they found my Spleen had been ruptured in the fall. The surgeon on call was at the hospital said he was too tired to do the surgery and was going home. Dr Darren Rowan responded to the call to preform the 2am emergency surgery in which more than a liter of blood and clots were removed. The surgery was done in about 45 minutes which was less than the hour they had suggested. He was so kind, patient, caring, post op attentive. Extremely personable, compassionate. The six inch incision was neatly stapled and healed beautifully. If Dr. Rowan had not agreed to come in for the surgery I would… have been put on life flight to another hospital 35 miles away.
