Dr. Darren Neil Seril, MD

Our gastrologist sent us to Dr. Seril in April 2025 Because her son was very ill and wanted to send him to where he would be taken care of because of his complicated Crohn’s disease flareup. The soonest appointment we could get Was June 30th. A regular gastroenterologist called to see if they can get anything sooner because of the severity of my son’s case, they did a tele visit with him to get things going a week later. Dr Seril Wanted to start him on the medication Skyrizzi, We waited and waited, contacting the insurance company of what the status of the medication was and they didn’t receive any type of information or prescription to request the medication. We called Dr Seril’s office To find out what the delay was with no return phone call. Over two weeks. We called five times and not one call back. Our son got sicker and sicker, Wound up back in the hospital. Our regular gastroenterologist said that he would just send in for the medication and get things going. We wasted… over four weeks that my son could’ve been on this medication and on the road to Remission. In the meantime, after our regular gastroenterologist sent in all of the necessary prescriptions and paperwork Dr serils office called and Wanted to change our June 30 appointment to September 27. When I called them back to find out about the appointments, it turns out that they pushed his appointment to October 30!!!!!! I swear I lost my cool.. Watching my son be so sick when no one was doing anything from a specialist office from the professionals that are supposed to be the experts, This is the result!!! They apologized and said that they were moving offices. That was their excuse!!!! Still no phone call from the doctor after that. No one else called. They just dropped it like he never existed. Now that is the almost the end of June waiting almost 8 weeks, he is finally getting his infusion for his medicine on June 9. I do not recommend this doctor or facility at all!!! Looking at the other reviews, sometimes I thought that things happen, but this seems to be more true than just sometimes things don’t go the way they should. Think twice about going here.

Deformation of character It’s not even the word when it comes to this doctor. Not only is he the most arrogant sarcastic person I have ever met in my life he does not listen to one word you say and he is right and you were always wrong. All he wants to do is performed test after test to make money off of you even though the diagnosis is hitting him in the face. I wouldn’t recommend him if he was the last gastroenterologist on the face of this earth!

DR Seril is an outstanding Doctor, he is a Doctor who listens with both ears, understands what you are trying to tell him about your medical problem. Both, my wife and I use his expertise and knowledge for our medical problems. Additional our office visits are never to short or long. Follow Ups are practiced the same way. He has a very rare but excellent bedside manner. Thank you Doctor Darren N. Seril.

My wife went to see Dr Seril and he said the results of an important endoscopy would be ready 1 week after the procedure. We called everyday for a month or two and couldnt get the results. To this day they still haven't given us the results. I think he probably lost them and didn’t want to admit it.

I first met Dr Seril when I was hospitalized at RWJ. When I had my follow up visit with him at his office, he took time to explain my condition thoroughly even reviewing the photos from my test procedure. He patiently answered all of my questions, and then sent me for follow up blood work in the same building. I was very impressed when I received a personal call from him to deliver my test results even though they were all normal. I highly recommend Dr. Seril. Kind and professional!
