Dr. Darin Tessier trained at the prestigious American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama, under the tutelage of renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. James Andrews, who is highly regarded for his work with college and professional athletes. Dr. Tessier also earned his medical degree from The University of Texas School of Medicine in San Antonio where he also completed his internship and residency. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Tessier specializes in sports medicine with a focus on the latest techniques in arthroscopy and treatment of sports-related injuries, as well as open and arthroscopic treatment of hip, knee, shoulder and elbow injuries. In addition, he treats cartilage injuries in the knee with articular cartilage implantation and meniscal transplantation.

Doctor Tessier and the staff were amazing! He was very upfront and explained next steps thoroughly! I was able to get in and out quickly, without wasted time!

Trust and expertise are high on my list when it comes to choosing a doctor or surgeon. From start to finish...I have trusted Dr Tessier to know what was best for my knee injury. He has amazing bedside manner and makes the patient feel like they are the only case he is working on...he advocates for the best care for his patients. Throughout the process, he has been thorough, patient, honest and answered the many questions I had. I cannot say enough about him and his staff, Sam, Sammi, and Emily. I would choose him again without hesitation.

Dr Tessier, and his staff, were great! I took my daughter to be seen for a sports injury. Dr Tessier was very easy to talk and you could tell her truly cares about his patients. Highly recommend him to anyone needing an Ortho!

Have used Dr Tessier for several years and would not think of switching to another doctor. He is very knowledgeable, takes time with you, doesn’t rush you in and out. Very kind and considerate! Can’t go wrong with this Ortho Doctor!
