Dr Darshi Sunderam

I've never left a doctor appointment so hopeless. Specialists are the last line of defense when we are truly in need. Even being diligent enough to get paperwork outlining the continuation of my treatment from my former endocrinologist, I was not given any treatment options besides scheduling more visits which ran up my copay. I went from exceptional care at my former provider in Montclair to cold, clinical visits I was told would allow me to continue my treatment. They did not, I had to find a new endocrinologist to resume care and in the meantime my money, energy, and health was exploited for a reason I can't even understand. I am terrified of others having the same experience. Do not hesitate to keep searching for a better specialist if you have a similar experience!

Dr. Darshi is Wonderful!! But her Staff is HORRIBLE!! Very Sarcastic. The 1 that answers the phone. They make me Not want to go back to seeing Dr. Darshi.

I had went to her a couple of times in the past as my primary. I was about 27 or 2yrs old when oneday I decided to go to her to check me for some type of bad throat infection that me feel really bad do to me having Sickle cell disease. I just knew I needed antibiotics, but when she checked me, she said I was fine and antibiotics would not help. She checked me in her office and not a patient room. Then she never takes a temp on her patients so she was not able to see how high my fever was. It took her a sec to look at my throat so she couldn't really she how bad it was...then she sent me home. Same day felt even worse so I went to the ER and wow when they checked me they couldn't understand why she would send me home in such a condition and I was told that I should call the medical examiners in Trenton and I did. My mother goes to her and she acts as if I can not come in the room with my mom. I truly feel as though she is a horrible Dr for anyone and at the moment I'm trying to… get my mother switched.

I was a patient of Dr. Sunderam years ago for hyperthyroidism over ten years ago when her office was in South Orange. She was an exceptional endocrinologist. However, I have seen other specialists since then. So I do not know if her treatment worked or treatment of other specialists. My overall rating is from past experience not present.

Please dont go there. doctor dont know how to understand pragent womens thyroid level. gynec doctor told me to visit endocrinologist and couldnt able to take appointment at gynec referal doctor. so i searched on net and took DR Darshi appointment. but what she predicted totally wrong. and wasting my vary important time and she played with my pragnancy. after seeing other endocrinologist i know how important thyroid for pragnent woman.please dont take visit to this doctor.

She is not helpful at all she can be a lot more caring, and helpful wen it come giving patience wat they need.
