Dr. Daryl George Bodner, MD

My elderly mother had been working with another otolaryngologist for two years trying to restore her hearing to previous levels with her hearing aids. After painfully having her ears cleaned out every two weeks and trying every medication (some very expensive) he could prescribe, we decided to seek a second opinion. Dr. Bodnar came highly recommended by two friends. He quickly diagnosed a fungal infection and treated it rather unconventionally with medication for athlete's foot. Within one month, she can hear well again and we are so pleased. Dr. Bodnar has a very quirky sense of humor which can be slightly off-putting if you aren't accustomed to it. We are just so grateful to have her hearing restored and her quality of life so improved. I highly recommend Dr. Bodnar and his staff!

I can not even give this Dr 1 Star. My husband had a dripping from his nose with a small amount of blood for 5 months and was referred to Dr Bodner by our family doctor. Dr Bodner did not scope my husband and sent him away saying he had a sinus infection. After the continued dripping from my husband’s nose for another 4 months, this time we were referred to another ENT doctor, Dr Rugiere, who scoped him right away and shared that my husband had SNUC, sinus cancer. He sent us to UPenn hospital in Philadelphia right away to get surgery and start chemo and radiation. Unfortunately the cancer was found too late and the treatment did not cure him. I feel that Dr Bodner did not do his job. Had he scoped my husband and took the time to examine him correctly, the cancer would’ve been found months earlier. My husband passed away and I can’t help but feel that Dr Bodner was somewhat responsible. I would never recommend this doctor. What a terrible way to treat patients. I’m thankful there are… doctors like Dr Rugiere out there who truly care about their patients.

He took less than 2 mins to diagnose me, without any questions. Without looking into my other symptoms. He was rude and uncaring. I had to give him a star but honestly, he doesn't even deserve that.

Interesting individual, if he can't fix me, I will at least enjoy the trip

The wait time was horrible! Don't bother showing up early or making an appointment with him for that matter...

The poor service started before we even got into the office. I am not sure the office staff knows exactly how to do the work and it is evident that communication does not happen correctly between them and the doctor's office nor is paperwork read carefully. I would not reccommend this doctor's office to anyone based on the non-helpful staff alone.
