Dr. Dat D Mang

Dr. Dat Mang grew up in Tampa, Florida in a family of whom he is one of six siblings. He was awarded an academic scholarship to attend Syracuse University in Upstate New York where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.  After graduation, he worked in the field of electrical engineering for 4 years before deciding to go back to school to obtain his dental degree.  He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received his DMD degree in 1999.
During dental school he was awarded a United States Army Scholarship for Academic Excellence and continued his postdoctoral education as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Dental Department. He was given the award, Dental Resident of the Year for excellence. Through the United States Army Dental Department, Dr. Mang was able to receive extensive training and invaluable knowledge in the practice of dentistry from which he could not have obtained …elsewhere. He had two overseas deployments while in the United States Army, one in South Korea and the other in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Mang opened his practice in 2004 soon after he returned from his deployment in Iraq.
Dr. Mang is committed to understanding the needs and desires of each patient and takes great pride in providing the best dentistry has to offer. Dr. Mang constantly stays current with the latest technology and advances in dentistry so that he can offer it to his patients. Dr. Mang is an active member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. He is also actively licensed in Florida and Pennsylvania.
