Dr. Daus Mahnke, MD

I had a very good experience at Gastroenterology of the Rockies with Dr. Mahnke. It was only my first visit but I have a feeling that Dr Mahnke will be my doctor for my future appointments.

Dr. Mahnke was very kind and attentive. He was willing to answer any questions I might have and was thorough, clear, and concise when describing what they found and what they had to do during the procedure itself. It was a pleasure to meet him.

I had an excellent experience at Gastroenterology of the Rockies with Dr. Mahnke. He along with all of the staff, were kind, courteous and professional. I strongly recommend them for your health needs.

I have had three visits and one colonoscopy with Dr. Mahnke for my Crohn's disease. I am a long-time sufferer, since age 20, now 75. I have had only one other doctor in all those years who is as knowledgeable and systematic in helping me chart the best course forward for keeping me healthy. His discussions are thorough, thoughtful, and fact filled. He listens and works with me to help me find the best path forward through flare-ups and during better times too. I expect I will continue to use him as long as he remains in practice, which I hope will be for a long time!

I cannot recommend this doctor. If your experience is like mine, you will get to the appointment, and Dr Mahnke will not even show up. He will send his under-qualified assistant, even if he is in the building. If you already have a Diagnosis, she will fight you on it, and say she can't give the medication you need. I highly recommend finding a different specialist.

I thought Dr. Mahnke did an excellent job on my colonoscopy. His staff was professional and competent, and there were no problems. He also did a good job during the pre-operation scheduling visit to understand my past history and ask relevant questions. I think my only comment for improvement would be a phone call follow up from him (preferrably) or a nurse to make sure all was well.
