Dave Goldwyn Jequinto, DDS
Dr. Goldwyn earned his B.S. in both Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at the University of California, Irvine.  As an undergraduate, Dr. Goldwyn performed research at the widely acclaimed Beckman Laser Institute at the UC Irvine College of Medicine.  His research on enamel demineralization in patients with gastric reflux disease as well as research on real-time non-invasive oral cancer detection, have been published in leading scientific journals. 
He then earned his D.D.S. degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry.  While a student at USC, Dr. Goldwyn was involved in community health outreach programs such as AYUDA Inc., a non-profit dental program that provides free dental services to the under-served, and USC Mobile Clinic.   He has travelled to nearly every country in Central America on dental missionary trips for the underserved. He was a clinical instructor for nitrous oxide (laughing gas) administration, local …anesthesia and conscious sedation.  He has experience in general anesthesia and is certified in both Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).  Dr. Goldwyn also teaches CPR to dental students and practicing dentists alike.  He continues to associate himself with academia as an adjunct professor at USC, teaching dental students restorative and cosmetic techniques such as crowns and bridges, veneers and tooth colored fillings. 
Dr. Goldwyn practices biomimetic and conservative dentistry - appreciating the fact that nothing is better than the natural tooth in it's pristine state.  He preaches prevention and takes part in outreach programs for the uninsured and under-served.  He has received awards in Public Health and was awarded the American Dental Education Association/Johnson and Johnson Preventative Dentistry Award.
On his free time, Dr. Goldwyn enjoys surfing and snowboarding as well as playing the guitar, running and travelling. He is pictured above with his niece, Olivia, island hopping the South China Sea.  You can  also find him in the Newport Beach surfline or on the slopes in Big Bear.
