Dr. Dave Singh Khurana, MD

Dr Khurana is a wonderful neurologist!! I had used my previous one for over 20 years! This first one made staff changes and his new clerk was ALWAYS rude whenever I came in. She pointedly called me a liar about something she should have known! I left repeated messages for Dr Walls to call me, which he never did!! Hence, I changed to Dr Khurana!! Best decision ever!!! He means what he says about having an open door policy.Two times I had questions and showed up unannounced. His staff always escorted me to his office to wait a short time. His staff is excellent and always cares about you, too!! I would recommend him to anyone needing a caring & very knowledgeable neurologist!!

While undergoing dialysis, I have seen Dr. Khurana once in six months. He came in one day and said to me from across the room, "I had to come in here on a Friday because you don't like Wednesdays. I also have complaints about Fresenius Kidney Care. They have very bad chairs that demand replacement. There are several of them that you sit down in and their sides swing open. You cannot put your feet on the floor unless you are six feet plus tall. The chairs have ridges in them that cut off the circulation to your lower legs thereby increasing the number of leg cramps while you are being treated. Worst of all, I have taken vast amounts of blood pressure medication in an effort to get a decent blood pressure reading from the Fresenius dialysis machines and they always claim that my blood pressure is about 200 over seventy. When I go to my primary care physician my blood pressure is around 135/65. I can understand ten points high, but 65? Fresenius bills my insurance company exorbitant… fees for treating and then they send me a bill for amounts that I cannot hope to pay. Dr. Khurana has a rule that if you miss three treatments in a row, you must first go to an ER for testing before the clinic is allowed to give you a dialysis treatment. I am losing weight faster than the machines can take water off of me so I quit going three days a week. This makes me the nail that sticks up so they invoked this stupid and ineffectual rule in a blatant effort to force me to bow down to them. This is Texas! It is not Germany or even NYC. I refuse to bow down and fully intend to stand my ground against this nonsense. It is nothing more than money grubbing and an insistence that I behave according to their rules. I have chosen to run their bluff. I had rather die than live in a place that has so much in common with the likes of Venezuela that it is literally indistinguishable. I will NOT standby and see my nation, let alone MY TEXAS turned into a Socialist nightmare like Venezuela, or China, or the good old USS of R. I am sick of being mistreated as though I am just a cow. I will not live that way because I am equal to anyone anywhere simply because I am human being and have been born with a set of unalienable rights.
