Dr. David Albrecht, DO

I came to his office after moving to MI from GA. I have pre-existing care and symptoms related to a chronic condition that have yielded several abnormal blood results over the course of those years. I saw him twice. Once as a new patient intake and once on a video visit for flare up of symptoms. Both times his notes state that anxiety and depression are causing my symptoms. I was told my recent blood work done through them was normal but when I looked at them I had worse abnormal results than in GA and was vitamin D deficient as well. You would think a good primary care physician would at the very least want to remedy very obvious vitamin deficiencies, but this was not brought up at all just that all my bloodwork came back normal. I hope this helps anyone see how he sees his female patients symptoms as “psychosocial” as he put it. And as a final note: my rheumatologist saw that very same bloodwork and was highly concerned and started me on immune suppressants to hopefully alleviate… these symptoms. Guess it wasn’t the anxiety and depression his bias diagnosed me with after talking to me for 20 minutes. Doctors should really watch how they talk about their patients in their notes. We read them. If you disrespect and call your patient’s pain and symptoms “psychosocial” and caused by anxiety, you can’t expect them to respect you back.

Excellent Dr. who truly cares about his patients. Very thorough, communicates with test results and he listens. I would highly recommend him.

He listens to you and he reacts to what your comments are and what your concerns are. I highly recommend him.

Would not run any tests and insisted he knew what the problem was. Had to go to the ER and was getting surgery within 12 hours followed by days in the hospital. His office was notified they missed a major issue and they didn't even call to make sure I was ok.

My mother has seen Albrecht for a few years. She was struggling with numbness and instead of running any tests insisted it was a pinched nerve. Finally got so bad she went to the ER and was diagnosed with brain tumor. Albrecht is a cocky, incompetent physician. He is a disgrace to the Metro Health system.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Albrecht, the nurses & the PA Tina is an ANGEL! Saw Tina for 1st time today & she is just the sweetest thing! Very caring, very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and truly makes you feel likes she cares for you as a person. Extremely impressed with Tina. Would enjoy seeing her ANY TIME! She cut out the little "crap" & went right for the major tests, which personally I suspected I needed. She is a MAJOR asset to Dr. Albrecht's team! One minor "complaint", VERY dissatisfied with the front office ladies. My appt was at 10 AM. I arrived & checked in at 9:45 AM. Was not "put in computer as checked in" & sat in waiting area until 10:50 AM. RN & Tina apologized profusely for my wait. Not their fault. First impressions are the front office ladies though. A friendly smile & efficacy of their duties would reflect greatly on the entire practice though. Food for thought. Best medical field rule to live by DAILY: TREAT EVERY SINGLE PERSON AS IF THEY WERE ONE OF YOUR LOVED… ONES! ?? Remember: One BAD apple CAN spoil the whole bunch.

Both times I came in, Dr. Albrecht and Tina have taken excellent care of me. I am new to the office for I have moved. My parents recommended them to me so it made sense to try them. Wow! The two times I needed them they showed they cared, prescribed me what I needed and made me feel like part of their community. I feel so well taken care of with people who really care. I am not just a number. The front desk could use more smiles! :)

I have been with Dr. Albrecht for nearly 10 years. I have many of friends and family that go to him as well. Himself, his Staff, are so great. He is such a great physician and a very kind and compassionate person. Honestly, any of these prior reviews have to be upset patients that likely didn't get what they wanted. So hard to be a physician I suspect with the nature of today's healthcare, and honestly, patients can be so demanding and say whatever they want. Dr. Albrecht is a great physician and I would trust all of his guidance and expertise when managing all aspects of complicated medical care, whether you are healthy or have medical concerns which may be complicated. Dr. Albrecht and his staff can do it.

i needed a new doctor after I was hospitalized (twice) by a previous neglectful physician. I was hesitant because of that near death experience. Within the first five minutes of my appointment I was put at ease and immediately felt a positive relationship beginning. He is attentive, non-judgmental and he LISTENS! He came highly recommended and I am thankful for those who sent me his way! I am lucky to call him my doctor! Oh......his staff......yeah......they are AMAZING as well! They are truly a TEAM! Highly recommended from this happy patient!
