Dr. David Andorsky, MD

Dr Andorsky came highly recommended by nursing staff and docs at BCH which gave me the referral. I have nothing in my experience to alter this high regard, now under treatment. Of course the real tell will be if I survive, if not I don't think I could have a better choice, given no experience in making such a decision. So far, very optimistic.

Dr. Andorsky is straightforward, calm, caring, kind, humble, and a good listener.

Dr. Andorsky is wonderful. I agree with comment that he is patient, caring and kind. Staff have been patient and helpful - though not all. One experience in blood lab was more that the tech seemed to be in a bad mood that day. However, wait times have been non-existent, Andorsky has been thorough, knowledgeable, concerned, and most important - honest. He delivers somewhat disappointing news - you don't want to hear that you have on average 2 years to live, but he is empathic about it, and you can tell he wants to be truthful, but doesn't like delivering "bad" news. Better to know what to expect than be given false hope. When we call, we give full details, and triage nurses call back within the hour, and often have spoken directly to Dr. Andorsky before calling back - meaning he makes himself accessible to his patients needs at all times, or so it seems to me. We have been very happy with his treatment decisions and consultations with other experts to determine best course of… treatment. This was a surprise diagnosis, and he has been great at working through the process and giving us thorough information along the way.

I am sorry the person above had such a bad experience at RMCC. I have had nothing but caring treatment and follow-up for years, 5 years from Dr. Andorsky. True, I was fortunate not to have a fatal cancer, and it is sad that some RMCC employee was callous and insensitive. Something comparable happened to a friend of mine by a surgeon's PA (in a totally different field, not oncology) and I was infuriated. Dr. Andorsky, however, is thorough, knowledgeable, current, kind, he listens, he discusses options, and he checks up on me. I can't ask for anything more.

Don't go to Rocky Mountain Cancer Center. The first visit was memorable because my husband asked Dr. Andorsky, so is the cancer going to just consume my whole body and soul and the doctor said, "Yes." My last visit was memorable because on the day we were told that there would be no more chemo therapies that we could try, the office staff choose that day to tell me, that me and my family had displayed threatening behavior. That is an outright lie. If staff members don't like a question or don't know the answer to a question that could be considered threatening behavior. If you call too many times to try to get an appointment that could be considered threatening behavior. The staff members have chips on their shoulders for no apparent reason. lOok around a find another oncologist and cancer center for your loved ones.
