Dr. Barnett grew up in West Hartford. He graduated from Hall High School, and then attended Marietta college and graduated in 1968 with a bachelors in biology. He furthered his education at the University of Pennsylvania graduating in 1972 where he completed his D.M.D.
Doctor Barnett served on active duty in the U. S. Navy Dental Corps from 1969-1974. In 1974 he joined a Rocky Hill Dental Family Practice established in 1956.
Doctor Barnett earned fellowship degrees from the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dental International and The America College of Forensic Examiners Institute. He is a diplomat of the American Board Forensic Dentistry and Medicine, and on staff of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Barnett is constantly learning more and continuing his education. He is enthusiastic about learning new techniques and using new materials, that make dentistry easier for the patient. He is a member of the American …Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, New England Dental Society, Hartford Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Dentistry International, American Association of Endodontists, and the American College of Forensic Examiners.
Dr. Barnett has been a competitive rower since 1964. He loves to read books, and spend time outdoors. He has been married to his wife Florence for 38 years. He has two adult daughters Lisa and Christine.
