Dr. David Cadwell Bartels, DO

As a retired RN I am probably more critical than the average person or I shouldn't say critical but pay attention to things that others might not. Plus I was a little scared this is the first time that I've had to deal personally with a thought that I might have cancer. When Dr Bartels came into the room I didn't even remember his name because I just wasn't tracking except what they were telling me. But I found him to be caring made every effort to explain to me what he thought was going on and what his plan was going forward and I could get on board with that because he instills faith it's obvious he knows what he's talking about but not only that he comes across as really being concerned about you and that's hard to find these days and our Healthcare System. So I'm just beginning this journey and things going forward are somewhat concerning as I don't know what to expect I'm praying for a good outcome that will show that I don't have cancer and maybe just some monitoring to make sure… it doesn't develop. But I am very thankful to God that I was sent to Beacon Cancer Center and under the care of Dr Bartels he does instill confidence in me and that's something coming from an RN who practiced for almost four decades plus took care of and watched my mother die from bladder cancer.

They were able to get a referral completed for me in less than one hour! They are all kind, efficient, and happy to help. For me this is a clear reflection of healthy leadership. And for all of my experiences listed above, I am… truly grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Bartels and Beacon Cancer Center.

Dr. Bartels is an excellent communicator and an engaging person. I saw him in his capacity as a hematologist. The probable source of my anemia was identified, which required a change in a medication associated with anemia. I have complete confidence that should my condition persist, Dr. Bartels will take care of me.
