David Jonathan Bearss

I'm sure there was a time in his life when Dr. Bearss was a respectable doctor that cared for the wellbeing of his patients. However, that is no longer the case anymore. He boldly deems himself as a "medical professional," a term I will use loosely with him, and yet he wouldn't even see my son. My child had a fever, and was immediately written off, via telephone, for having covid. Wouldn't see him, lay hands on him, check any body part...nothing. But felt confident, as a "medical professional," that it sounded like covid. How does one properly diagnose a patient without even looking at them? My son is prone to the influenza, and has had it consistently since he turned 4. In fact, Dr. Bearss was the one that prescribed him Tamiflu all those times. His response when I brought that up was, "covid is huge in rowan county right now and there are zero cases of the flu." ZERO. A "medical professional" said, with total confidence, that there are ZERO people with influenza this year. His tone… reeked with annoyance that I dared to question him. Quite frankly, I don't trust the covid test. Every positive is money in the pocket of the medical field. I guess there's no money in the flu or anything else. The Novant office agreed to test my son for flu and strep from the car- again, nobody has yet to actually look at my son, believing he is simply a walking plague. I received a phone call from the nurse an hour later, and would you believe that I have the only resident in all of Rowan County to have the flu. How special for my child! I should send Bearss flowers, for being the only doctor with a flu patient. I no longer trust Bearss. He has betrayed his hippocratic oath to the medical field. Part of that oath is to do no harm. He ignored my sick child, showing that oath means absolutely nothing. A doctor needs to look at patients! Misdiagnosis IS HARMFUL. He was completely unwilling, dismissing him and brushing him off as having covid. Thank you, next case. He no longer cares about the health and wellbeing of his patients. All he does now is look for a new covid case, which I'm guessing looks pretty good from Novant's bank account. Covid claims every single symptom. I truly feel bad for all of his current patients that have been misdiagnosed from his "professionalism," therefore not receiving proper treatment, simply for a cushioned wallet.

Can't seem to answer simple questions or able to give any tips. He seems to tiptoe around an actual answer which is very frustrating.

I am really happy with Dr. Bearass. He always takes the time to talk to me about any medications I have questions about. He also has a very good sense of humor which I totally enjoy. I also feel like he really cares about his patience's. He tells you like it is.
