Dr. David Lee Berry, MD

Dr. Berry is fantastic! He is a solid expert in his field that closely studied the test results but imparted his significant experience to explain the difference between 'possibility' and 'probability' of an event actually happening. He went above + beyond to consult various doctors about my low platelets which required checking into the hospital the night before a c-section. He even visited us in the hospital as we waited to meet our twins! His calm demeanor brought us much comfort - he's one doctor you want on your medical team!

Our first child was born 9 weeks early, at 31 weeks gestation. In response to this, my wife's regular OB/GYN (not Dr. Berry) diagnosed an incompetent cervix and put in place a typical, by-the-book cerclage. But in our next pregnancy, my wife's water broke early at 20 weeks, and the baby was stillborn. The OB/GYN arranged for Dr. Berry to come see us in the hospital shortly thereafter because he knew that Dr. Berry was an expert in cerclages. Dr. Berry did my wife's next cerclage, and in the subsequent 8 years or so we have had 3 babies carried to term or very close. We are so thankful for Dr. Berry and his cerclage!

I like his approach to pregnancy. his staff was great, he was informative and i felt taken care of!

Went to Dr. Berry for high risk twin pregnancy. In our time of need-fetal loss, turned us away and said to go elsewhere,although we were an established pt unless we paid for full visit up front due to Cobra issues. We had to beg to be seen that day. Never once did office state sorry for your loss. Insensitive and noncompassionate office staff and Dr. Horrible experience.

I am currently seeing Dr Berry as a high risk patient and he is great. He is attentive, he listens to my concerns and he know what he is saying. This is my second time being pregnant and I am happy he is involved in my care. I highly recommend him

I have been going to Dr David Berry for a twin pregnancy after a poor experience at another Perinatologist group. He has a great staff, nice office and best bedside manner of any doctor I've seen. He spends 30+ minutes with my husband and I answering questions and ensuring we feel comfortable. He is the best and only perinatologist I would trust with my babies in Austin. Go to him - you won't be sorry!

We've had a good experience with Dr. Berry, from a care perspective, however, the billing portion was a nightmare. I've come to find out that the policy of the office is to overcharge for a procedure over what the insurance negotiated price is set at. In my case it was over $150.00. It took over 6 months for the office to cut me a check for the difference with me calling weekly. Usually, I would just get the voice mail of the office manager without getting a call back. When I did reach them, their usual response was that they haven't heard back from the insurance company. Calling the insurance company, I was informed that the claim was settled months ago. I finally got both the office manager and an insurance rep on a conference call and this was finally resolved. My guess is that if I never would have pressed the issue, they would have never reimbursed me. Initially, I thought that this was a problem with the insurance company, however, since I was still under my deductible,… and the entire visit for an ultrasound was my responsibility, that wasn't the case. Dr. Berry is a good doctor, but he needs to improve administrative procedures.
