Dr. David Blumberg, MD

Dr. Blumberg performed surgery on me At Sinai Hospital in Baltimore for colon cancer in 2017. His pre-op informative appointment was very thorough and detailed. His surgery was great! I was released the day after my rather complicated 9 hour surgery at the age of 67. I was an outlier. Dr. Blumberg said the only other patient he had released that soon was in his 20s. This man is a great doctor. I am still cancer free.

Dr. David Blumberg is everything you hope for in a surgeon knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and truly dedicated to patient care. He performed my husband's incision and drainage surgery of a perirectal abscess with seton placement for a fistula, after a painful and stressful experience with another provider, and the contrast in care was night and day. From the first visit in the hospital, Dr. Blumberg took his time to explain everything clearly, performed a proper and detailed examination, and made sure we understood the diagnosis and treatment options. His bedside manner is outstanding, calm, respectful, and genuinely kind. You can tell he truly cares about helping his patients. He took the time to understand my husband's extensive medical history, including years of battling metastatic colorectal cancer and the ongoing chemotherapy. His ability to balance clinical precision with genuine empathy was deeply appreciated. He’s also very up to date on the latest procedures and… research, which gave us a lot of confidence The surgery went smoothly, and the follow-up care has been outstanding. We are incredibly grateful to have found Dr. Blumberg. He gave us not only excellent surgical care, but also peace of mind during a very difficult time. I would recommend Dr. Blumberg without hesitation to anyone needing colorectal surgical care.

Go elsewhere. My poor mother is still badly suffering from this doctor’s careless mistakes.

If you want to live normal after surgery do not go to Dr.Blumberg. My husband had rectal cancer and was operated on by this doctor. He did a basic butchering of his insides. He’s had continued complications from the poor surgery performed by Dr.Blumberg. And other doctors are now correcting his mistakes. His lack of patient care and attention to patient concern are evident. My husband has had to have 3 additional surgeries unrelated to his cancer because of Blumberg. Save your life

I met Dr Blumberg when I was at Northwest and I am glad I did he saved my life if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be here today.....he has compassion for his patients I am so glad he helped me and I am honored to call him my friend

My gift to you: Do not go to this doctor. If you need surgery, go somewhere else. My mother didn’t read the real reviews and is paying forit dearly.

Best Dr. I've been to. I really miss him, wish I knew where he's practice is now he left Pittsburgh. I would consider traveling if possible. Need an update in the system so we can find him again.
