Dr. David Ronald Boston, MD

My father was about to have triple bypass. I consulted Dr. Boston who re-assessed the case and determined my father had a much higher likelihood of death due to several complications that the diagnosing physician failed to consider (comorbidity). Plus, my father did not have any main arteries blocked. Dr. Boston said it was even odds for surgery vs. non-surgery and use of medication to control the condition. This diagnosis was corroborated by one of the most well respected cardiologists in the northeast who said that bypass surgery is much more dangerous than commonly believed and should be a last resort because of apoxia, failing grafts, collapsing stints, ad nauseum. We chose to not have surgery and my father is alive and well 5 years later.
