Dr. David Paul Brown, MD

My Mom was under his care for several years. She became critically ill and nearly died. She was put on hospice because she refused to eat. I was able to use my skills to get her to eat when no one else could. We nearly lost her two more times. I discovered the meds she had been prescribed interacted with each other. My Mom was having fits of rage and hypomania mixed. Dr. Brown refused to talk to me or send her out for a consult. He dropped her as a patient without giving a reason (standard protocal). I learned of other family members having similar problems. I also learned he went to a school in the Dominican Republic where there is no "match day" assignments for Residencies...and no MCAT board testing.

I have had two family members in Rich Mountain Nursing and Rehab in Mena, AR. Dr. Brown was their appointed doctor. WHEN he showed up, he had no bedside manner whatsoever. He barely spoke to the patient. He truly acts as though he doesn't care. When my grandmother was near death, he stood at her bedside (for approx, 2 minutes) and said to her, 'Get ready to meet your maker.' I should have filed a complaint with the medical board.
